Pay, or get paid. Never blind.

Your payment stays with FocalHold Escrow, not a stranger's account, until you both agree the deal is done.

The process

Four steps, in this exact order

Every deal follows the same sequence, so there's never any ambiguity about where the money is.

1

Buyer creates the deal

Describe what's being paid for, agree an amount, and invite the seller by email.

2

Seller accepts & buyer pays

The seller reviews and accepts the terms. The buyer then pays into escrow — not to the seller directly.

3

Seller delivers

The seller fulfills the order or delivers the product, then marks the deal as delivered.

4

Buyer confirms, funds move

Once the buyer confirms everything checks out, we release payment to the seller, minus our fee.

Why it works

Neither side has to go first blindly

Funds held, not spent

Payment sits with us the moment it lands, untouched until the buyer confirms the deal is fulfilled.

Both sides must agree

Sellers accept terms before payment. Buyers confirm delivery before release. No unilateral moves.

A full timeline

Every action — invited, accepted, funded, delivered, confirmed — is logged and visible to both parties.

Disputes get reviewed

If something's not right, either side can raise a dispute and our team steps in to review evidence and decide.

Clear, upfront fees

Our fee is shown before the buyer pays a kobo — no surprise deductions at the end.

Refunds when deals fail

If a deal doesn't work out, the buyer's payment is returned, minus a small refund fee.

Built to be trusted

Your money isn't just promised safety, it's engineered for it

Bank-held funds

Escrow balances sit with a licensed banking partner, not on our books.

Verified identities

Every buyer and seller passes identity checks before funds can move.

Encrypted end to end

Payment details and messages are encrypted in transit and at rest.

Human dispute review

A real team reviews evidence when a deal is contested, not a bot.

Questions

Before you start a deal

Who actually holds the money?+

FocalHold Escrow holds the buyer's payment from the moment it's confirmed until the buyer approves the release, or an admin approves a refund. Neither party can access it unilaterally.

What happens if the seller never delivers?+

The buyer can raise a dispute. Our team reviews it and, where the seller hasn't fulfilled their side, refunds the buyer minus the refund fee.

Can the seller take the money before the buyer confirms?+

No. Funds are only released to the seller after the buyer confirms fulfillment, or after an admin resolves a dispute in the seller's favor.

What if the buyer just refuses to confirm?+

Sellers can raise a dispute once they've marked a deal delivered. Our team reviews the evidence from both sides and makes the final call.

Does the seller need an account before being invited?+

No. The buyer invites the seller by email. If the seller doesn't have an account yet, they're prompted to create one before accepting the deal.
